- We value human life above all else and address risks accordingly
- We know all hotels and resorts we promote and use common sense to anticipate potential risks their facilities might present (ie. a family with children will always be proposed a room as far as possible from the swimming pool)
- We visit all dive centers we work with and carefully assess their commitment to safe diving practices
- Our partners are all affiliated to reputable international organizations (PADI, NAUI, SSI, CMAS, etc…)
- Our partners have oxygen and first aid equipment within their facilities and on their boats and we encourage them to maintain their staff’s skills in handling these equipment through regular trainings
- Our partners’ scuba equipment are serviced according to manufacturers’ guidelines, local laws and international standards
- Our partners use or subcontract boats, cars, minibus and any other vehicles that are properly insured and satisfy local Department of Transportation’s requirements
- We perform regular evaluations of our partners’ commitment to safety, through thorough inspections performed by “mystery customers"
- We ask our customers to report any deviation from Waterlines’ safety standards. Exceptions, if any, will be addressed promptly and corrective actions taken when deemed necessary
- Should our partners report repetitive dangerous behaviors while diving from one of our valued customers, we will always back our partners up, thoroughly investigate incidents, and take appropriate actions when deemed necessary
- We encourage our customers to always take a conservative approach while diving and to apply and promote safe diving practices
- We encourage our customers to make sure their personal insurance covers risks related to scuba diving. We urge divers whose personal insurance does not cover dive-related injuries to join DAN (or any equivalent institution)
